The (much belated) christmas present for my mom, who always is the last to get stuff, because she always is the one who "understands".

Pattern: Haruni by Emily Ross.
Yarn: Wollmeise sockyarn (100% Merino superwash); colorway "Kornblume" (WD)
Knit on 4.5 mm circs.

Fun to knit.
Happy to have it finished.
Satisfied with the outcome.
Loving the color.
Liked giving it away.

But the best thing is: My mom likes it! ^-^

Da mache ich nun das erste Mal ein Strickmuster (naja... "Anleitung zum Stricken" oder "So ähnlich kann man's machen"), und schon hab ich Knoten im Hirn und somit Fehler in der Anleitung: "Spring Leaves" ist überarbeitet.

Wer seine (englische) Version über Ravelry bezogen hat, bekommt automatisch eine Nachricht über das Update, aber wer sich die deutsche Version im Blog runtergeladen hat, holt sich hier bitte die NEUE VERSION und löscht die alte:

Es gab einen Fehler in der Setup-Reihe für die zweite Hälfte der Stola, wo der Muster-Rapport fehlte. Dieser Fehler ist behoben.
Hoffen wir, daß es der einzige bleibt...

Ich entschuldige mich für die Unannehmlichkeiten, aber ich hoffe, daß man mir freundlichst vergeben möge. Als Näherin ein Strickmuster machen ist gar nicht so einfach...

Der Quilt.

Bevor hier jemand meint, ich stricke nur noch:

Nein.
Gibt schon außer Job und Haushalt und "laß-mich-auch-mit" schon noch etwas anderes, aber das Nähen läuft in letzter Zeit etwas schleppend.
Zu viele Ideen, aber zu wenig Zeit und Organisationstalent, sie alle umzusetzen. Oder auch nur EINE mal zu verfolgen. Ich sollte einen Kurs für Organisation im Alltag machen oder sowas.

Immerhin ist der schon lange gut abgelagerte Quilt für meinen Neffen endlich fertig

und auch schon in Benutzung.

Das, was da so unter der Decke versteckt lieg und winkt, ist übrigens der neue Besitzer... posieren ist nämlich nichts für einen "großen Jungen". ;)

Die Stoffe sind teilweise aus der "Dick and Jane"-Serie von Michael Miller, teilweise aus meinem eigenen Fundus. Hauptsache bunt!

Das Quilten war dann leider nicht so ganz problemlos, und von meiner ursprünglichen Idee, die ganze Decke großflächig mit Kringeln zu bedecken, mußte ich dann doch ablassen. Das Teil unter der Nähmaschine entsprechend frei zu bewegen war ziemlich unmöglich, also habe ich Block für Block gequiltet.
Nicht perfekt, aber es sieht auch nicht wirklich schlecht aus und meinem Neffen gefällt's, das ist die Hauptsache...

Das Schrägband ist dann - natürlich - hübsch brav per Hand angenäht. Gefühlte 5 Kilometer Handstiche. Hat aber irgendwie doch Spaß gemacht :)

Mal sehen, was dann als Nächstes kommt... Just in case you were wondering if there's anything else but knitting over here:

There is.
Though I rarely find the time to sew besides the Job, the household and all the other family-related things that I have to squeeze into my days.
I have far too many ideas, but too little time and definitely no organisational talent to get them done.
Or to concentrate on ONE. I really should take a class about "organising life" or something like that.

At least the quilt for my nephew which I started a long time ago is finished.

And in good use already.

The little person hiding under the blanket, waving at you, is the nephew... because posing for a picture isn't appropriate for a "big boy". ;)

Fabrics are from my stash and from Michael Miller ("Dick and Jane" collection).
They just had to be colorful!

Quilting didn't went as I had imagined, so I had to switch from my original swirls-all-over-design to a block-by-block design. I simply couldn't handle the quilt under my machine...
It's far from perfection, but it also isn't that ugly and the nephew likes it, so I'm fine...

The bias-binding then was hand-sewn to the quilt. Good girl. Making it the "right way"...
It felt like 5 kilometers of stitching, but was kind of fun anyways.
I almost enjoyed it... :)

Now - we'll see what's up next.
